About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to join our team at PEAEA, THE: The Performing, Endurance, and Artisti. As a key member of our clinic, you will work closely with our CEO/Primary Physician to provide exceptional care to our patients. Your expertise in sports medicine and eating disorders will be invaluable in helping us deliver holistic care to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and other duties as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation, Credentialing and Scope of Practice, Consultation and Referral Plan (NP), Delegation of Services Agreement (PA (DOPL), or other similar documentation as appropriate.
  • Deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice, education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers, and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Manage medical and psychiatric conditions related to eating disorders; prior experience in family medicine and women's health preferred, experience with sports medicine beneficial but not required.
  • Perform detailed medical history; performing physical examination and presenting pertinent data to the medical staff. Performs patient assessment autonomously with physician support as needed to obtain a complete and accurate record of the patient's clinical information and medical systems.
  • Orders tests and exams to obtain additional information needed to ensure proper and complete care of patient.
  • Based on assessment, diagnoses patient needs and determines a plan of care
  • Interprets patient care tests and exams to obtain needed information to guide care
  • Provides for the treatment of the patient (and oversees the treatment provided by others) including appropriate prescriptive practice to achieve optimal clinical outcomes for the patient
  • Performs various minor office-based procedures, including application of braces, splints, casts, and injection/aspirations. Direct physician oversight required initially.
  • Utilizes advanced specialty knowledge to ensure that the care provided is appropriate, effective, timely, and cost efficient
  • Performs diagnostic or therapeutic procedures as defined by The PEAAC's Scope of Practice
  • Completes appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care
  • Codes and bills accurately per established protocol and procedure
  • Ensures that records are detailed and complete and comply with related standards and regulations
  • Serves as a resource to administrative and medical staff daily and in instances of physician absences.
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioner (APRN) -- Professional Accountability: Practice within scope of licensure as defined in the Utah Nurse Practice Act/Rules (58-31b, R156-31b), national certification, education, training, and consistent with The PEAAC approved privileges and/or other aspects of the credentialing process.
  • Advanced practice registered nursing includes: maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease; diagnosis, treatment, correction, consultation, and referral for common health problems; prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices including: local anesthesia; schedule IV-V controlled substances, and schedule II-III controlled substances in accordance with a consultation and referral plan.
