Job Overview

These individuals will be responsible for installing and repairing water and sewer lines, as well as operating heavy equipment in deep excavation settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the installation of water and sewer lines, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as excavators and backhoes, in deep excavation settings, requiring a strong understanding of safety procedures and equipment operation.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to plan and execute projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination with crew members.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of various shoring systems, pipe bedding, and trench compaction techniques.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and advancements.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in deep excavation and pipe installation, with a strong background in supervision and leadership.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, as well as perform field layout and setup.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with crew members and senior staff.
  • Experience with gas/HDPE force main and by-pass fusion is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
