The Registered Nurse - Cardiac Progressive Care Specialist provides direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit at Las Palmas Medical Center. This role requires a strong understanding of cardiac care principles and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- RN licensed in the State of Texas or Compact.
- BCLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Associates Degree or BSN.
- Critical Care Background.
- Dysrhythmia Recognition.
- Proficiency in EKG.
- Medical nursing unit experience.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance from others.
