Key Responsibilities

The primary role involves operating related equipment to ensure the production of consistent quality products.

Main Duties:

  • Collect milk samples from delivery tankers
  • Perform SLBL tests on incoming milk
  • Unload milk from tankers into storage silos
  • Manage the loading of cream
  • Transfer milk and cream between silos and other equipment
  • Monitor and operate raw whey processing equipment
  • Facilitate the transfer of raw whey
  • Coordinate with the Protein department regarding whey processing
  • Conduct cleaning and sanitation of equipment related to milk and whey
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility
  • Adhere to chemical safety, workplace safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Perform routine inspections of all operational components
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
Food Safety Compliance

Ensure adherence to all relevant Plant, State, and Federal regulations including OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF standards.

Support the maintenance of the Food Safety and Quality Management System.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)
  • Minimum of one year of relevant work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Team-oriented with the capability to work independently
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to obtain General Samplers and Weighers license
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include:

  • Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer
Work Environment

This role involves working in a cold storage environment with frequent visits to manufacturing and warehouse areas. Employees may encounter various elements such as odors, noise, dust, heat, cold, and chemicals.
