Position Overview:

JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a qualified Orthotic Specialist to join our team. A valid ABC or BOC Fitters License is required.

In this role, you will assess patients and provide support for off-the-shelf orthotic devices, ensuring adherence to treatment plans through effective recommendations and fittings. Collaboration with a certified Orthotist is essential for formulating comprehensive treatment strategies. Experience with both adult and pediatric populations is preferred.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage with clinicians, patients, and caregivers in various clinical settings to support orthotic treatment plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments in accordance with established protocols for orthopedic conditions.
  • Evaluate patients for indications and contraindications, collaborating with a Certified Orthotist as necessary to refine treatment plans.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and innovative devices to address a variety of orthopedic conditions.
  • Identify physical abnormalities and complex orthopedic issues, referring to a Certified Orthotist when necessary.
  • Perform precise measurements and fittings for orthotic devices.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation.
  • Provide ongoing support and assessments to ensure optimal fit and function of orthotic devices.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the proper use and care of equipment.
  • Utilize company vehicles for in-home or outpatient assessments.
  • Carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Patient Documentation: Accurately record patient information.
  • Patient Education: Provide comprehensive health education to patients and caregivers.
  • Treatment Implementation: Deliver treatment in line with physician prescriptions and established care plans.

Position Qualifications:

Certifications:
Valid Driver's License required.

Work Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
