Soliant is currently recruiting for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a reputable school district. This position entails working with a K-12th grade caseload, approximately 60 students, and requires onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, and activities of daily living.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure student progress.
- Technology and Equipment Utilization: Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance students' participation and independence within the school environment.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Education and Licensure: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and valid California license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience and Skills: Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of students with varying disabilities and developmental levels.
