Special Education Teacher for Virtual Learning Environment

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy. This is a 35-hour per week, full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with students in a virtual learning environment.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with diverse needs and learning styles. This includes designing and customizing lessons across various subjects, using creative approaches to enhance academic performance and social development.
About the Role:This Special Education Teacher position requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in special education, preferably with teaching virtually. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the education team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Specialized Instruction: Design and customize lessons across various subjects to accommodate the diverse needs and learning styles of students, using creative approaches to enhance both academic performance and social development.
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Formulate and regularly revise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with specific goals and strategies tailored to each student's distinct learning requirements.
- Support Behavioral and Emotional Growth: Apply strategies to manage behavior, create a positive learning atmosphere, and help students develop social skills and emotional resilience.
- Collaborate with the Education Team: Partner with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a unified approach to student education, actively participating in meetings and maintaining ongoing communication.
- Masters degree in Special Education preferred, but not required
- Active Special Education license and teaching certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting preferred
- Experience with teaching virtually is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
This is a 1099 contract position, offering a guaranteed weekly rate of $36-45 per hour. In addition, this role comes with access to a Clinical/Technical Support Team, enabling you to deliver high-quality services while enjoying a flexible schedule and work-life balance.
