About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Telemetry to join our dynamic team. As a telemetry nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms and other critical vital signs, interpreting data to identify any signs of distress or abnormal patterns. Your expertise in electronic medical record systems and proficiency in EKG rhythm interpretation will be invaluable in this role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythm and other critical vital signs, interpreting data to identify any signs of distress or abnormal patterns
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to the medical plan of care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to evaluate and modify the plan of care as necessary, with a focus on patient's cardiac status
- Educate patients and their families on best practices for heart health, treatment plans, and any relevant home care instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient's condition, treatment, and progress in accordance with hospital and departmental policies
Qualifications
- Associates Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1 year experience in cardiac telemetry or other cardiac care setting preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
- Skilled in EKG rhythm interpretation and other cardiac monitoring techniques
