Position Overview: As a Merchandising Assistant Leader, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to drive sales and profitability objectives. Your role is pivotal in fostering a vibrant culture that embodies the values of World Market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience by ensuring adherence to visual standards and engaging with customers effectively.
- Promote a culture of recognition and accountability that enhances customer satisfaction and boosts sales performance.
- Recruit, develop, and maintain a high-performing team focused on customer service through effective training and performance management.
- Analyze business trends and utilize reporting tools to identify challenges and implement solutions at the department level.
- Leverage company resources to enhance team knowledge on product offerings and visual merchandising techniques.
- Coordinate visual workload and manage the publication calendar in partnership with Operations and Freight Flow Managers.
- Oversee the organization and execution of all signage and graphics in collaboration with the management team.
- Maintain rigorous inventory management practices, ensuring data integrity and effective expiry management.
- Lead the deployment of company outreach initiatives, working with designers and decorators.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in the absence of the Store Manager.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on exceptional customer service, urgency, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant leadership experience in a dynamic retail environment is preferred.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $21.90 - $25.90.
Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans after a specified period of continuous employment.
