Pride Health is seeking a Certified Phlebotomy Technician to join our client's healthcare facility. This role offers a 3-month contract (with potential for extension or permanent placement) and presents an excellent opportunity to engage with a leading healthcare provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws and accurately label specimens.
- Utilize centrifuges for specimen processing and maintain detailed records.
- Ensure proper decontamination and update patient records as necessary.
- Clearly explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods to patients.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using both straight and butterfly needles.
- Verify all test requisitions and computer labels for accuracy.
- Prepare specimens for transportation in accordance with established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state regulations.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in performing venipunctures within a fast-paced laboratory or hospital environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Additional Information:
Job Type: 3-month contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation: $20 - $22 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
*Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and relevant healthcare credentials.
