Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled Certified Pediatric Care Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our nursing staff, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pediatric patients.

Job Summary

  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs, including those reliant on G-tubes, Trachs, and Vents.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet individual patient needs.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide wound care as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, report any changes or concerns to supervisors and physicians, and document all interactions and interventions in accordance with Aveanna policies and regulations.
  • Promote patient education and empowerment by teaching patients and families about disease management, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment.
  • Minimum one year of experience working under current RN license; previous experience in pediatrics preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and reposition patients without assistance.
  • Capacity for prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
  • Ability to sit and climb stairs as needed.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
  • Strong sense of smell and touch.

Salary: $32-$35 per hour
