Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate security risks and controls to ensure compliance with Navy Federal's security standards and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize security threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and controls.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of security risks, processes, and controls, as well as applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience with data security controls and procedures, including authentication, access, network security, event logging/monitoring, and encryption.
