Responsibilities
$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS OPPORTUNITY
The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering safe patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
The Registered Nurse also guides and directs patient/family education and the activities of other nursing staff while upholding professional nursing standards in the Emergency Department.
The Registered Nurse is directly responsible for the care provided to patients in the Emergency Department.
They communicate with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions, including diagnostic study results and symptomatology.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
4. Current PALS certification and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
5. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation certification within 30 days of hire.
6. Minimum of one year of experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. experience preferred.
7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Facility Specific Requirements

1. Non-OB facilities:
NRP certification within 180 days of hire and maintain current.
2. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months of hire required.
