Emergency Services Registered Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care through effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
- Utilize the nursing process and therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of patients.
- Ensure compliance with established standards of care and performance.
Educational Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Nursing is required, or
- 1 year of Critical Care Nursing experience may be considered in lieu of Emergency experience, or
- 1 year of Medical Acute Care Nursing experience combined with previous Emergency Department cross-training within the last 2 years, or
- Certification as an Emergency Nurse (CEN) or completion of an Emergency Nursing training program.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current RN license from the California Board of Nursing is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred but required for working with trauma patients.
- Must pass the Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test at the time of hire (if applicable).
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) competency must be achieved by the end of orientation and successfully completed annually.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively motivate and lead teams.
Work Schedule: Night shift from 18:00 to 06:00.
Compensation: The hourly pay rate is competitive and based on relevant experience and licensure.
Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week.
