Job Summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to lead our land development team. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for overseeing field surveys, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection and survey execution
  • Develop and implement survey plans, methodologies, and procedures to meet project requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure survey data meets project needs
  • Conduct site visits, inspect survey equipment, and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Party Chief or equivalent role
  • Proven experience with ALTA or Land Title Surveys, including deed map interpretation and property corner location
  • Experience with Topographic Surveys, including elevation change interpretation and utility identification
  • Experience with Construction Staking, including staking layout and grade calculation
  • Proficiency with robotic instruments and GPS technology
  • Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Trimble field equipment and software
  • Civil 3D or Carlson CADD experience
  • Drone operation experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Work Environment
  • Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5pm (10-hour workday)
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Travel up to 2 weeks at a time may be necessary, up to 50% of the time
Compensation

$42,392.00 - $56,523.00 per year
