STV Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled Survey Party Chief to lead our land development team. As a key member of our surveying team, you will be responsible for overseeing field surveys, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection and survey execution
- Develop and implement survey plans, methodologies, and procedures to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure survey data meets project needs
- Conduct site visits, inspect survey equipment, and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Party Chief or equivalent role
- Proven experience with ALTA or Land Title Surveys, including deed map interpretation and property corner location
- Experience with Topographic Surveys, including elevation change interpretation and utility identification
- Experience with Construction Staking, including staking layout and grade calculation
- Proficiency with robotic instruments and GPS technology
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience with Trimble field equipment and software
- Civil 3D or Carlson CADD experience
- Drone operation experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 5pm (10-hour workday)
- Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines
- Travel up to 2 weeks at a time may be necessary, up to 50% of the time
$42,392.00 - $56,523.00 per year
