Nurse Specialist in Geriatric Mental Health

Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their multidisciplinary team in the Senior Unit at Avera Behavioral Health Center. Salary: $42.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to older adult patients with complex medical and mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of SD or multi-state privilege to practice in SD if residing in a compact state outside of SD.
- CPR, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification or completion upon next available program.
- Graduate of a registered nursing education program.
