Job Title: Transportation Associate I

HouseSmart Construction is seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Transportation Associate I to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will work closely with CDL drivers and the Transportation Supervisor to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of manufactured homes to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Escort CDL drivers and transport manufactured homes to job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
  • Assist with site preparation, including trimming trees, moving obstacles, and identifying potential issues.
  • Operate specialized equipment, such as the house tug, jade, and platypus, to facilitate home delivery and installation.
  • Collaborate with the transportation team to develop and implement effective transportation strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for our customers.
Requirements:
  • Clean driving record with minimal to no driving infractions.
  • Ability to climb ladders, crawl underneath homes, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Interest in obtaining a Class F endorsement and DOT medical card.
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
  • Experience operating various machines and ability to quickly learn new equipment.
