Job Description

 

This role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced project management professional to join our team at Tranter.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective communication with stakeholders.

 

A key aspect of this role is the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and engineering, to ensure seamless execution of projects.

 

As a project manager at Tranter, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and experience to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Initiation: Lead project kick-off meetings, define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Task Management: Develop and manage project schedules, allocate resources, and track progress against milestones.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular contact with customers, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and status.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery.
  • Document Control: Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and decision logs.

 

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as strong leadership and communication abilities. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations (e.g., ASME Code) is highly desirable.

 

A competitive salary is offered for this position, ranging between $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The salary may vary based on location and other factors. Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering setting.
  • PMP certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Knowledge of ASME Code, Section VIII Division 1.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project.
