A Day in the Role

As a Production Ag Account Manager, your primary focus will be on delivering customized solutions to our clientele. You will maintain expertise in John Deere and other competitive machinery, providing guidance on both new and pre-owned equipment, advanced technologies, and value-added services. Direct engagement with customers is essential as you assess their needs, evaluate trade-ins, and formulate sales strategies utilizing CRM software. Your knowledge of agronomy will inform your recommendations for optimizing farming practices with contemporary techniques. Additionally, you will monitor market competitors, oversee equipment delivery and training, and participate in product demonstrations. Staying informed about incentives and financing options will ensure that we present competitive offerings. Your role will be vital in fostering customer relationships and promoting sustainable agricultural practices by simplifying operations and enhancing productivity through innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of current agricultural trends
  • Capability to lift weights up to 40 lbs
  • Proficiency in operating, securing, and transporting equipment safely
  • Ability to remain seated, standing, or squatting for extended durations
  • Strong communication skills to build excellent customer relationships
  • Competence in utilizing computerized tools and reports
  • Negotiation skills and mathematical proficiency
  • Willingness to mentor less experienced candidates
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related agricultural field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management or direct sales within the agricultural equipment sector
