Position Overview:
The Finance Operations Manager plays a crucial role within the SocoSIX accounting team, overseeing a wide range of financial responsibilities, including the creation and posting of accounts receivable and associated payables.
This role involves identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for the accounting close process, conducting research on accounting matters, and providing informed recommendations, along with other assigned tasks.
The position will report to the Corporate Controller and collaborate with sales and operational teams.A solid understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, compliance with policies and procedures under US GAAP, and sales tax regulations is essential.
Knowledge of human resources is a plus.Requirements:
Adhere to all SocoSIX corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines
Exhibit proactive, professional, and thorough communication both internally and externally
Continuously evaluate and enhance processes to mitigate losses and boost productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
Possess 5-10 years of accounting experience
Have a minimum of 3+ years' experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred)
Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited institution (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, document, and implement efficient Accounts Receivable (Billing) and Accounts Payable procedures, policies, and workflows.
Maintain precise and organized records for billing and payables, contracts, and supporting documentation.
Evaluate the legitimacy of all incoming vendor invoices (payables) to ensure services rendered align with customer billings.
Establish a process to identify discrepancies in vendor invoiced amounts that conflict with contractual or agreed-upon service rates and hours.
Create a system for amicable resolution and payment of payable discrepancies.Ensure services are billed in accordance with company agreements and other mutually accepted terms.
Provide weekly billing summaries and insights for forecasting purposes.
Collaborate and communicate with internal departments to resolve customer and vendor billing issues or disputes.
Other corporate or related duties as assigned.
