Pumpout Facility Inspector Job Summary

The State of Connecticut is seeking a skilled Pumpout Facility Inspector to join our team. As a Pumpout Facility Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting pumpout facilities and vessels throughout the state to ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect pumpout facilities and vessels to ensure compliance with regulations
• Enter inspection data into the Clean Vessel Act database
• Assist with grant applications and preparation of federal grant applications
• Report conditions at pumpout facilities that are not operating at optimal levels
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Valid Connecticut driver's license
• Certificate of Personal Watercraft or Safe Boating Certificate
• Ability to follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft Access and Excel
• Experience with recreational boating and marina operations
• Knowledge of sanitary pumpout facility operations

Special Requirements:

• Incumbents in this class may be required to meet certain physical requirements
• Incumbents performing lifeguard services must have and retain an American Red Cross (ARC) Lifeguarding Certification
