Job Overview

We are recruiting for a Bioinformatics Research Developer position to work in our Genomics and Computational Biology department at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. This role offers an estimated annual salary of $110,000 - $160,000 and the opportunity to contribute to innovative research projects in bioinformatics and genomics.

The successful candidate will have a background in computer science, engineering or physics, and extensive experience with Python and its scientific ecosystem. They will also have a track record of software engineering experience, preferably in bioinformatics or related fields.

In this role, you will work closely with our team of computational biologists, data scientists, and developers to design, implement, and contribute to open-source libraries. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with experimental investigators and contribute to the development of new tools and technologies for genomics data analysis.
