Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Structures Group in Tampa, Orlando, or Miami. As a key member of our team, you'll play a lead technical role in bridge design projects, applying structural engineering and detailing techniques to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects, supervising junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks.
  • Work on projects that include bridge design, box culvert, and retaining wall design for highway projects.
  • Perform complex structural planning, analysis, design, and construction support for all structural aspects of transportation projects.
  • Develop and implement structural engineering solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • PE license and ability to achieve reciprocity within approximately 6 months.
  • A minimum of 10 years of bridge design experience, including steel bridge design experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience in all aspects and phases of bridge design projects.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Software and MicroStation.
  • Proficiency using structural analysis programs and bridge design software.
  • Experience managing junior staff.
  • Excellent communication skills and working in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years of bridge design experience is preferred.
  • Experience with FDOT is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering software packages such as LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, Mathcad, Larsa, and CSiBridge.
