Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team as an Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced. We are actively seeking individuals who are committed to providing exceptional medical assistance and patient care.

Immediate Opportunities:

We are offering a FULL-TIME position with a Sign-On Bonus of $15K for new hires who meet specific conditions.

Compensation:

The annual salary ranges from $68K to $112K, based on your experience. Our shifts include:

  • 12-hour shifts: Daily overtime after 8 hours (averaging a 42-hour work week).
  • 24-hour shifts: Weekly overtime after a 40-hour work week (averaging a 56-hour work week).

We are looking for professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality service and advanced patient care.

Additional Benefits:

  • Prior experience will be considered for placement on the wage scale.
  • Opportunities for overtime and regional or federal deployments.
  • Annual tuition reimbursement of $2K.
  • Paid training and continuing education opportunities.

Position Summary:

The primary mission of this role is to deliver compassionate and high-quality medical service to those in need. Successful candidates will serve the community with pride.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate each emergency situation to determine the most effective response.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and intravenous fluids.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide reassurance and information.
  • Lead the paramedic team and manage the scene as required.
  • Operate the ambulance during emergency responses.
  • Collaborate professionally with all health and public safety personnel.

Community Engagement:

Participate in community programs to enhance the image of AMR and foster strong community relations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • California State Paramedic License.
  • California State Driver's License.
  • California State Ambulance Driver's License.
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Paramedic Certificate (San Diego County card).
  • BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
  • Driving record compliant with company policy.
  • Pass Physical Agility Test (PAT).
  • Some relevant work experience, preferably in healthcare.
