Vulcan Materials Company is the nation's largest producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials, including asphalt and ready-mixed concrete. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aggregate plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Organize and plan production to optimize plant and equipment utilization, personnel, and inventory requirements.
  • Manage employee relations, including training, team building, and supervision, to support the operational function of the business.
  • Monitor processes and materials to ensure a quality product is received by our customers.
  • Implement and monitor a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in supervising production employees, preferably in an aggregate, sand/gravel, or asphalt plant.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and maintain interpersonal relationships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of rock and sand mining, ready-mixed concrete, and/or asphalt operations and equipment, MSHA regulations, engineering principles, and quality control systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form strong social relationships and effectively communicate with internal and external audiences.
