Admissions Director

Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and organized professional to coordinate resident referrals, obtain insurance verifications, and conduct facility tours. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare, preferably in long-term care, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate resident/patient referral and approval process
• Obtain insurance verification for outpatient rehabilitation/post-acute care benefits and perform pre-certifications as required
• Conduct tours of the facility with potential residents/patients and their family members
• Notify departments of anticipated admissions
• Assure contracts are completed on a timely basis
• Complete records and documentation in accordance with company policy and state and federal guidelines

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration)
• Minimum one year of experience in healthcare, preferably in long-term care
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficient in electronic record management systems
• Efficient typing and data capturing skills
