Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse RN PRN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse RN PRN to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to post cardiac surgery, valve repair, chest pains, coronary artery, cardio thoracic surgery, and telemetry patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration
  • Perform and document care for all admissions and patients
  • Initiate and document patient teaching and discharge planning
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
