Position Summary
As a Massage Therapist, you will deliver exceptional manual therapy and clinical massage services to a varied clientele, including athletes and orthopedic patients. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care aligned with our integrative health model.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver top-tier care to all clients and patients.
- Create tailored treatment plans based on individual client assessments.
- Document each session meticulously using the S.O.A.P note format.
- Maintain communication with referring physicians or physical therapists regarding client progress.
- Foster positive professional relationships with colleagues and healthcare teams.
- Keep an active state license through continuing education.
- Build a loyal client base through effective marketing and promotion of services.
- Advocate for health and wellness among clients.
- Participate actively in client care, including referrals to other clinicians as necessary.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled shifts for preparation.
- Manage the setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of the massage room.
- Handle opening and closing duties of the wellness center.
- Assess clients and develop appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Oversee client appointments, payment processing, and follow-up communications.
- Collaborate with the treatment team regarding client care.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the massage program.
- Engage in various professional development programs as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Illinois State License.
- Liability insurance is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of massage therapy experience is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Availability to work up to 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Clear communication skills for conveying instructions.
- Physical capability to demonstrate activities effectively.
- Regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, or lift up to 25 pounds.
