About the Role

At Taconic Health Care, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Beacon.

Job Overview

We offer a competitive starting rate of $50 per hour, with a generous sign-on bonus of $3,000. As a Physical Therapist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with patients to improve their movement and manage their pain.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to understand their physical condition and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Participate in family care plan meetings and educate caregivers on patient care.
  • Create customized fitness-oriented healthcare programs for patients.
  • Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
  • Document patient care history.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with geriatric residents.
Requirements
  • A degree in Physical Therapy from a program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is required.
  • A current PT license in NYS is also required.
  • Must have knowledge of age-specific developmental factors and be able to evaluate patients.
  • Must have up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.
  • Experience in long-term care is preferred.
  • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable.
  • Strong customer service skills and compassion are essential.
