Job Overview

Sulzer USA Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret job cards to determine job status, work authorization, and estimate.
  • Test and troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment using various methods.
  • Disassemble and clean equipment assemblies as needed.
  • Measure and requisition replacement parts.
  • Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Retest reassembled equipment for proper output and operation.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
  • Lift, tighten, adjust, and secure heavy objects.
  • Keep work area neat and clean.
  • Assist other mechanics or shop personnel as directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to understand and perform various skill-related training and operational and safety procedures.
