Role Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized 16-bed facility dedicated to delivering exceptional medical and nursing care to adult patients facing critical health challenges.
This unit is equipped to provide advanced hemodynamic monitoring, management of artificial airways, ventilator support, and other essential interventions required for the care of complex and critically ill patients.
Due to the severity of their conditions, patients may necessitate one-on-one nursing care. Our intensivist-led teams are available for comprehensive consultation and management of ICU patients.
The ICU staff collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team, which includes physicians, social workers, case managers, physical and occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, chaplains, and pharmacists, to address the diverse needs of this patient population.
This unit also accommodates intermediate and medical-surgical overflow patients.

Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Must meet all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for South Lake Hospital and the respective unit/department.
Licensure/Certification:
Must maintain current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification is required. ACLS, NRP, PALS, and TNCC certifications are mandatory for specific areas.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience is required.
