Job Description

As a skilled RN Endoscopy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest levels of patient care in a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical Center environment. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting doctors in the performance of procedures, providing prep and recovery care to patients, and maintaining timely and accurate patient and business records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and review patient health information to identify relevant needs and communicate effectively with physicians and colleagues.
  • Coordinate patient prep activities to ensure readiness for scheduled procedures and communicate concerns to doctors and colleagues as needed.
  • Monitor patient recovery, identifying abnormal situations and reporting to doctors.
  • Deliver medications safely and accurately, reconciling usage and following facility policies.
  • Assist doctors in procedures, ensuring smooth processes and optimal patient care.
  • Provide patient education in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, contributing to department goal development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the care team to optimize center efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Complete daily tasks, including reminder calls and crash cart checks.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring satisfaction and dignity.
  • Maintain a safe environment, consulting managers and physicians as needed.
  • Meet safety and infection control requirements, adhering to proper PPE and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Active RN License, with GI experience preferred.
  • RN degree (2 or 4 years).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with knowledge of medical software (Intergy preferred).
