We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Journeyman to join our team at Sciens Building Solutions.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a professional with a strong background in electrical systems. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and possess excellent communication skills.

As an Electrical Journeyman at Sciens Building Solutions, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including commercial and industrial 3-phase power systems;
  • Using electric and hydraulic benders, as well as installing switchgear, transformers, and panelboards;
  • Conducting troubleshooting, repairs, and installations in accordance with the National Electric Code;
  • Utilizing safety equipment and following all safety regulations and guidelines.

You will also be expected to:

  • Follow specifications on blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings for installations;
  • Manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality;
  • Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Two to five years of experience as an Electrical Journeyman;
  • At least five (5) years of electrical field experience;
  • Knowledge of current code NFPA 70, 72, 101 and Florida building code;
  • Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in the installation of electrical projects;
  • Customer-focused, skilled in project and people management;
  • Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening;
  • Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude;
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills;
  • Good computer skills; proficient at Microsoft Office;
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

We estimate the salary for this position to be approximately $80,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
