About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Spectrum Center Schools and Programs. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing speech therapy services to designated students, helping them achieve their full potential.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in special education services, particularly in working with students with autism-related disabilities and emotional disturbances.

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized speech therapy programs for each student. This includes direct instruction, prescriptive evaluation, consulting with school staff, parents, and representatives from the home school district, writing IEP goals and interventions, monitoring student progress, and attending IEP meetings.

As a Speech Therapist at Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, you will:

  • Evaluate and develop treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student
  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy strategies to improve communication skills, receptive and expressive language, cognition, and memory
  • Monitor student progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with families and educational teams
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to agency policies and state regulations
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • A current state speech-language pathology (SLP) license or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience in special education services, particularly in working with students with autism-related disabilities and emotional disturbances
  • Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for students with diverse needs
