As a Cardiac ICU RN, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify their unique needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with families and caregivers, and provide education on disease management and self-care.
- Monitor patients' conditions, responding promptly to changes or complications, and escalating concerns to the healthcare team as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN preferred)
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire (for Critical Care/IMCU)
- Additional certifications may be required based on specific clinical areas
