About the Role

Costco Wholesale is seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Manager to lead our digital transformation efforts. As a key member of our IT Management Team, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of engineers to develop and integrate digital products within our digital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a product and integration team to develop and integrate digital products within the digital environment.
  • Develop and execute the team's strategic vision and plan, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and the IT Division's objectives.
  • Manage team performance, deliverables, and day-to-day operations, while also fostering a culture of engagement, trust, and open-door communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and ensure the successful delivery of digital products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience managing a medium to large agile development team.
  • Experience with large-scale applications, preferably web-based, in a cloud environment.
  • Experience leading a group of software engineers in a DevOps culture.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Innovative, creative, and with a passion for excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with people at all management levels.
  • Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with experience building strategic and tactical plans.
  • Ability to analyze a situation for potential future problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a crisis situation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing a digital team.
  • Application development experience.
  • Experience with major development languages, such as Java or C#.
