Christus Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist I - Polysomnographic Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sleep disorder department, you will be responsible for conducting polysomnographic recordings, determining testing and treatment parameters, and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct polysomnographic recordings and determine testing and treatment parameters in conjunction with physicians and medical directors.
- Assess patient testing modalities and treatment protocols, and consult with referring physicians and medical directors as needed.
- Evaluate sleep study-related equipment and inventory, and perform routine and complex equipment care, maintenance, and repairs.
- Demonstrate competence in performing assigned responsibilities in a manner that meets the age-specific and developmental needs of patients.
- Adapt assessment, treatment, and/or service methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Current certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) required.
- 1-2 years of experience in polysomnography or a related field preferred.
