Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Novant Health, where quality care meets quality service. Responsibilities
- You will be part of an environment that fosters teamwork, member engagement, and community involvement.
- The successful team member will demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences in every dimension, every time.
- You will be responsible for maintaining control of violent patients, defending yourself and others against assaults, and intervening in therapeutic manners for behavior patterns, symptoms, or behaviors demonstrated by patients with mental illnesses or substance use disorders.
Requirements
- A current RN licensure in the appropriate state is required, along with NC state-approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire.
- You should have one year of relevant experience and possess knowledge of psychiatric medications, side effects, and treatment interventions, as well as psychiatric diagnoses, mental health concepts, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Prior completion of a Board-approved refresher course is necessary if your RN nursing license has been inactive for five years or more.
