POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Commercial Lending Officer plays a crucial role in fostering business growth by managing a diverse loan portfolio and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to developing new client relationships and maintaining existing ones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new business opportunities through strategic outreach to both prospective and existing clients, meticulously documenting each interaction.
- Oversee the compliance of the loan portfolio with established policies and regulations.
- Effectively manage a designated loan portfolio, ensuring timely follow-ups and account maintenance.
- Address and resolve delinquent accounts through appropriate collection strategies.
- Administer workout plans for problem loans, collaborating with clients to find viable solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's policies regarding the Bank Secrecy Act and related anti-money laundering regulations.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and organizational standards.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields such as finance, economics, or business administration.
- Four to six years of relevant experience in commercial lending.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, with strong computer skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Must possess or obtain a valid NMLS number within the first month of employment.
- Completion of annual SAFE Act training is mandatory.
- Possession of an insurance license is preferred.
- Demonstrated sales acumen and client relationship management skills.
- Standard office environment with occasional travel requirements.
