Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a group home setting.
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Plan and implement activities that promote socialization, recreation, and personal growth.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and community resources.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure individualized support plans are implemented and reviewed regularly.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Document individual progress and participate in regular team meetings to discuss care plans and strategies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 18 years old.
  • Pass and maintain a passable criminal background check and LEIE per state regulations.
  • Pass required controlled substance tests.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • Knowledge of person-centered support plans and behavioral strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
