Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients, including diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions, preventive care, and health maintenance.
  • Conduct physical exams, order and perform laboratory and diagnostic tests, and make clinical judgments regarding results.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care for each patient, including initiating appropriate consultations, referrals, and Emergency Department transfers.
  • Provide health education and teaching to patients, emphasizing prevention and curative treatment.
  • Act as a primary care resource to the assigned multidisciplinary team, participating in educational activities with nurses, nurse practitioners, and medical students.
  • Document patient visits and assessments in medical records, assessing health risks, promoting disease prevention, and practicing evidence-based medicine.

Requirements:

  • Board certification or board eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine.
  • Valid medical license.
  • Demonstrated ability to use medical record systems to thoroughly and properly document patient visits.
