About the Role

FPI Management, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our apartment homes, buildings, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Maintenance: Adhere to our assigned maintenance program to ensure the most economical, proper, and safe condition of our properties. Follow the preventative maintenance program as outlined in our Maintenance Manual.
  • On-Call/After Hours Response: Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekends, and vacation emergency services, as outlined in our Employee Handbook and Maintenance Manual.
  • Unit Turnover: Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance upon move-in. Coordinate and/or assist in painting vacant apartments. Change out appliances-install and remove as necessary.
  • General Maintenance Equipment and Systems: Repair and maintain any equipment owned by our apartment community, including proper storage in a secure location. Maintain all maintenance shops and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Inspections: Proficiently prepare properties and ensure compliance for potential regulatory inspections, including NSPIRE, MOR, TCAC, and CALFHA.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
