ROLE SUMMARY

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing patient care, focusing on health education, counseling, and restorative support under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider. Join our dedicated team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare.

POSITION STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Physician Practice Management

SCHEDULE: 8-hour shifts, Days

KEY ATTRIBUTES
  • Mandatory: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program with knowledge of medication administration and potential side effects.
  • Preferred: One year of practical nursing experience post-licensure.
  • Required: Valid and unrestricted New York State practical nursing license.
  • Must obtain BLS certification within three months of hire.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Gather and document patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and current medications, ensuring accurate electronic medical records.
  • Identify and communicate operational challenges to management, contributing to a clean and organized environment for patient care.
  • Engage in collaborative projects and daily operational discussions to enhance patient care quality.
  • Deliver direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared for provider consultations.
  • Administer routine nursing care, assist with procedures, and maintain compliance with nursing policies and protocols.
  • Utilize medical supplies efficiently to manage practice expenses and ensure proper documentation of patient interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to uphold standards of care and adhere to relevant healthcare regulations.
