About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Senior Manager to join our national Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice at RSM US LLP. As a member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing advice to clients and firm personnel on financial instruments, corporate, and M&A tax matters.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver due diligence and tax structuring services, communicating findings and opportunities to clients.
  • Identify and develop high-value tax opportunities for clients.
  • Assist clients on a range of financial instrument and related M&A tax issues, including recapitalization, restructuring, and bankruptcy transactions.
  • Plan, manage, and execute on advice engagements with limited supervision.
  • Develop, motivate, and train team members.
Requirements
  • Minimum of eight years of federal tax experience with financial instruments and/or mergers and acquisition experience in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm.
  • Active CPA, EA, or JD certification.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments and/or corporate tax matters in various industries.
  • Project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm.
