We provide Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Dental, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health services to the under-served population throughout northern Arizona.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to promote and maintain our patients' health by providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist. The ideal candidate will provide quality physical therapy services for a variety of patients based on treatment plans established by supervising therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures by administering manual techniques; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes and prostheses.
  • Instruct, educate and counsel patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information, promoting wellness and health maintenance, and updating home exercise programs as needed.
  • Provide continuity of care by implementing patient management plans.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have an accredited associate's degree program, and active PTA license or certification.
