Camp Instructor

The Louisiana State University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Camp Instructor to lead the nutrition and fitness programs for our summer camp. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children develop healthy habits and improve their overall well-being.

This position will be responsible for teaching nutrition and fitness curriculum to children in a camp setting, utilizing a mix of outdoor and classroom settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of nutrition and fitness principles.

• Teach nutrition and fitness curriculum to children aged 4th-6th grade in a camp setting.
• Prepare and coordinate track lesson plans with the 4-H Program Coordinator prior to camp.
• Maintain, manage, and request equipment and supplies.
• Clean teaching spaces daily.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Nutrition, or a field related to food and nutrition.
• At least one year of teaching experience and expertise.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and supervisors.

The salary for this position is estimated at $27,000 per year, which translates to approximately $2,700 for a nine-week period. Additionally, employees are eligible for benefits such as retirement, medical insurance, and paid time off.
