We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Development Engineer to join our team at Mahle Inc. This role will be responsible for coordinating the engineering domains to accomplish prototypes and project milestones, ensuring MAHLE PDP deliverables. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics development, with experience in power electronics hardware design and development.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate technical activities with the Product System Development Team Leader to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Manage technical resources at project level, including design, development, and testing.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including System Requirements Engineering, HW, SW, Mechanics, Quality, Functional Safety, Validation, and Industrialization.
- Ensure design meets customer requirements, including precision, reliability, thermal considerations, and other relevant factors.
- Manage and resolve technical issues, including design flaws, manufacturing defects, and quality control issues.
- Develop and implement design for manufacturing and design for quality principles to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components and materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including technical support and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure Mahle Inc. remains competitive.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in power electronics hardware design and development.
- Demonstrated experience in PCB and EMC filter design.
- Previous experience in direct contact with customers and suppliers.
- Technical background in electronics development, including hardware, e-layout, software, mechanical, validation, functional safety, prototyping, and industrialization.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation and test setups, including CANoe, INCA, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power supplies, electronics loads, and spectrum analyzers.
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and Automotive SPICE processes.
- Desirable skills include Matlab and LT Spice experience, knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262), and knowledge in Cybersecurity.
