Full Job Overview: The Refrigeration Piping Supervisor will be primarily responsible for overseeing the installation teams of fitters and welders in the effective execution of refrigeration piping projects. This role will involve collaboration with Engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, Clients, and Team Members to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of refrigeration piping initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guarantee the quality installation of intricate piping systems.
  • Ensure crew safety and operational efficiency in fast-paced environments.
  • Coordinate on-site activities with various construction disciplines, clients, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth construction processes.
  • Interpret and analyze project drawings across all disciplines. Design and develop pipe routing plans and isometric fabrication drawings.
  • Assist Project Managers and procurement teams with sourcing and delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Maintain and manage safety documentation for construction projects.
  • Guide and mentor junior plumbers, fitters, and welders.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, candidates must:
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of various piping construction and joining methods, including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, PVC, and Copper.
  • Be proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings from all disciplines.
  • Capably execute complex piping layouts and accurately create dimensioned isometric fabrication drawings.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and motivational abilities. Be a dependable self-starter, capable of working under pressure and leading by example.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and safety on the job site.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be skilled in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant apprenticeship training and practical experience in industrial piping, achieving at least Journeyman level Pipe Fitter Certification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Industrial Refrigeration Piping projects, with a solid understanding of Ammonia piping and IIAR fabrication standards.
  • Must have or be able to quickly obtain OSHA 30 certification.
  • Must have or be able to quickly obtain Forklift, Aerial Lift, and Reach Lift certifications.
