We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized support plans to promote independence and quality of life for our clients.
- Provide one-on-one support and companionship to individuals in their homes and communities.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Provide respite care and support to families and caregivers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
