As a Sales and Client Relations Consultant, you'll be part of a dynamic team that helps businesses navigate the complexities of risk management. The primary focus of this internship is to develop your skills in consultative selling, professional development, collaboration, building professional acumen, culture, and being a team player.
Throughout this program, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in various divisions and service lines, including insurance underwriting, human resources services, risk management, claims, and reinsurance. You'll learn and develop skills in five core areas:
- Understanding Consultative Selling - Gain a deeper understanding of our sales and marketing process by shadowing producers, consultants, and underwriting teams as they interact with clients and prospects.
- Professional Development - Attend National Intern Orientation, weekly training events, and case competitions to further develop qualities essential for success in sales and client relations.
- Collaboration - Grow alongside peers in national and regional sales competitions to foster your passion for sales and curiosity about the insurance brokerage world.
- Building Professional Acumen - Learn about our Risk Management, Benefits, Wholesale, and Claims businesses to better understand clients' needs and opportunities for growth.
- Culture - Experience firsthand the impact of our 'Gallagher Way' on how we conduct business.
We're looking for self-starters with a collaborative mindset who are enthusiastic about understanding people's needs. Strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and organizational skills are highly valued. This internship is ideal for rising sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.
